Items degrade quickly unless they are soul-forged. What are the other options for increasing their durability and longevity?

As of yet, none that we know of. Our research continues.

Such research should be made available among the restless, so we do not repeat any endeavors already examined. This should be a priority so we are not forced into using souls or dealing with items that degrade.
